Spring time weed remedies – dandelions

Your lawn will give you signs on how to approach different situations. One of the most common spring time problems we see in our St Charles Lawn Care customers is dandelions. In the spring time lawns can be covered in these weeds. This is a sign that your PH level is too high. Dandelions love a PH level of 7.5 your grass likes a PH of around 6.5. Knowing how much lower to go and how to do it is where we come into play. It is recommended to apply surfer to Lower the PH level to increase the PH you should add lime. Lawns will naturally become more acidic. O’Fallon Lawn Care tips!!!

This is one common myth that some of our O’Fallon Lawn Care customers and alot of homeowners believe. If I cut my lawn short, it will be longer until I have to mow again. This is simply not the case. For our O’Fallon Lawn Care customers the lawns needs grass blades to do photosynthesis ( the process of converting sunlight into sugar to feed the roots) . When homeowners cut the grass short the grass has to race to grow blades to keep the plant alive. The O’Fallon Lawn Care customers will notice that the lawn will not only grow faster but because cutting short damaged some of the grass, the grass will be wide open to weeds and diseases.
